What You Will Need

To bring this blooming card to life, gather these simple supplies:

How to Make Your Card: Step-by-Step

Let’s get our hands busy and create this beautiful card!

  • Download and print the flower pot template.
  • Color the Pot: Now it’s time to get creative! Grab your colored pencils, crayons, or markers and decorate the flower pot template.
  • Cut the Pot: Once your pot is looking fabulous, carefully cut it out along the lines.
  • Fold the Card Base: Take a sheet of white A4 printing paper or cardstock and fold it neatly in half to create the base of your card.
  • Glue the Pot: Apply some glue to the back of your colorful flower pot and stick it onto the front of your folded card. Position it towards the bottom, leaving space above for your flowers.
  • Make the stem: Here’s a lovely personal touch! Carefully trace and cut out your child’s hand from green paper. If you don’t have green paper, no worries! Just use white paper and color it green. Then, glue this precious handprint onto your card, right above the flower pot, with the fingers pointing up. This will act as the stem for your beautiful tissue paper blooms.

  • Make the Flowers: Now for the fun part! Take your tissue paper and cut it into small squares, about 1 cm by 1 cm. Don’t worry about them being perfectly even! Then pinch each square into tiny balls.

  • Glue the Flowers: Here comes the super fun part – making the flowers! Gently dip the bottom of each little tissue paper ball into the glue. Then, carefully press it onto the card, right above each finger of your handprint stem. Layer as many as you like to make your bouquet extra beautiful!
